Longtime Minneapolis Uptown Rotary member Bob Minnihan passed away earlier this month. Bob was a positive, gentle, and engaging presence in our club and will be greatly missed. He was a "Snowbird" in recent years, spending the warm weather months in Minnesota and the winter in the Southern California desert near Palm Springs. We always enjoyed seeing Bob return, and not only because that meant summer was coming! Bob was an active member, happy to help out at the Joyce Uptown Food Shelf or join a golf outing. He also was very supportive of the charity "Books For Africa" and per the Star Tribune obituary his family would like any memorial contributions directed to that organization. Bob left a lasting impact on Uptown rotarians, and we pay tribute at this time to all of his efforts to make the world a better place. Rest in peace, Bob.
