General Benefit Corp: from salsa to clean water

In September of 2014 a small group of Gustavus students and a dedicated Gustavus faculty advisor came together to form an organization that was committed to exploring social entrepreneurship.  We became known as the Gustavus Social Entrepreneurs and six months later the GSE, General Benefit Corporation was founded.  GSE was born provide entrepreneurial experience and education to students, while at the same time benefiting society. 
 

At GSE we can see a better world. A world where everyone has access to fresh water. A world where disadvantaged children have access to summer camp experiences that can make all the difference. However, this world is similar to an unmade puzzle. The pieces are plenty, scattered, and at first glance seem impossible to assemble. We at GSE are attempting to put that puzzle together.
