Refugee Services, MN Council of Churches

Refugee Services became a program of the Minnesota Council of Churches (MCC) in 1985.  Since that time, MCC Refugee Services has welcomed more than 6,000 refugees from around the world to lives of freedom, hope and opportunity in Minnesota.  We offer abundant support to new comers through four lines of service:  Case management, Immigration, Employment and Education.

The Minnesota Council of Churches was founded in 1948 as the statewide ecumenical agency representing mainline-Protestant denominations in Minnesota.  Today, MCC’s membership of faith groups reflects the diversity of Christianity in the United States including 24 Protestant, Orthodox, and Historic Black Church denominations, representing 37% of the practicing population in the state, or 1 million Minnesotans.
