Forensic Psychology

If you are into watching crime shows about forensics, Meaghan's presentation gave us a realistic view of the wide range of activities, treatments, and care that a forensic psychologist deals with on a daily basis. Her history lesson on the closing of so many mental health institutions in the 70's and the resulting chaos in the criminal justice system was a real eye opener for many. We don't tend to see the people she talked about in our cozy corner of the city, but they are out there and it's clear that we need a different approach in helping those who live on the street and have mental health issues.
